a break

I took a little break from blogging and then with my birthday last week, I decided to extend the break a little while longer. I know there's lots of you out there that want to send me a present so feel free to email me and I'll send you my address :)

Not too long ago, I shot some images from The Westerly, a new construction of luxury condo's in the Northwest hills of Portland. It's so new, several of the top floors are without sides which makes photographing from the balconies that don't have any railing a little, uh... unsafe! Let's just say I have a new found appreciation for workers who build high rises. Standing in a building and overlooking the Portland skyline as the wind whips through the open floors during sunset is a pretty peaceful thing. Here's a couple images I took from The Westerly:

an east view of Mt. Hood with the Pearl District in the foreground (ironically, my cousin and her dad climbing their way up Hood at the moment)

a northeast view of Mt. St. Helens.

It goes without saying that those who will be living in The Westerly are going to have some killer views.
