Seattle part 2I'm sitting in a plane on my way back from NYC
where I shot a fabulous wedding with one of NY's top photographers, Jason Groupp.
I'll post more about the NY wedding soon, but I just wanted to add a little more
about my time in Seattle last weekend with the girls of Dream
Photography .
A couple months back, Amanda called and let me know she and her sister, Juanita, would be in Seattle shooting a wedding and invited me to join them. I was free that weekend and I figured it would be a great time to visit the Canadian girls from Saskatoon. I met the girls in LA last year and they are just the type of people who are great about keeping in touch - often emailing or calling just to say hi (or to tell me to update my blog :). I really appreciate this because sometimes I forget that phones can actually make calls and not just receive them... Sidenote: the guy sitting next to my is holding a Garmin GPS unit and we're currently flying close enough over Saskatoon that it's showing up on the GPS - I waived :) Over the last few months I've had several long chats with Amanda, during which time she has helped me keep perspective on life and the simple, important things that can easily be overlooked. It's all too easy to get wrapped up into the everyday 'grind' and forget about doing the small things that keep us balanced. So, not only is she and her sister talented photographers, they're super cool gals as well. Thanks girls for inviting me up to shoot with you! It was fun and it was great meeting your other halves (i'm sure they think they're the 'better' half :)) and many of your friends. Once the ground thaws out in Saskatoon I may just stop by :) I'll look forward to see you two sooner than later! here's a couple shots Juanita snapped of us after we changed into our street clothes and took the bride and groom downtown for a late night shoot. ![]() ![]() hey, isn't that the entrance to the garage i told you two my car was parked in?? ;) note to self: pay less attention to my Blackberry and more attention to where I am when leaving my car in parking garages. of course, i don't have to worry about that for a while since my Blackberry disappeared while I was in NY. if you happened to call my cell or text me anytime in the last day and a half, i didn't get it. if you need to reach me, please email or call my biz line at 971 327 8315 Thanks again for the fun memories.
